Lucy Green | B737 Second Officer<\/mark><\/h2>

“I’m Lucy Green, a B737 Second Officer based at London Gatwick. I joined TUI in early 2023 and haven\u2019t looked back since.<\/mark><\/undefined><\/undefined>My pilot journey commenced at FTE Jerez, but unfortunately, my flight training completion coincided with a rather bleak job market. I then spent a year in Malta working for a private jet company in their crewing department. <\/mark><\/undefined><\/undefined>I started the TUI recruitment process in November 2022, and officially joined TUI in March 2023. As a 737 Pilot at TUI, you will find yourself at the forefront of delivering an exceptional customer travel experience to destinations across Europe and Africa. During day-to-day operations, I find myself at the controls of an increasingly more modern and efficient aircraft fleet, where the work environment and technology enhance all aspects of the job. I have found my career at TUI to be very rewarding so far with opportunities for continuous personal and professional development leading to an immensely fulfilling and gratifying career.<\/mark>\u00a0<\/em><\/undefined><\/undefined>I can\u2019t recommend embarking on a career as a pilot with TUI more, don\u2019t underestimate the hard work but know that the opportunity to navigate the skies across an array of exciting destinations accompanied by passionate colleagues is worth i<\/mark>t.”<\/undefined><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Tim Igoe | B737 Second Officer<\/mark><\/h2>

“My introduction to aviation began at Liverpool Airport where I gained my PPL, before completing a modular based training program in Gloucestershire.<\/mark><\/undefined><\/undefined>I joined TUI as a Second Officer and have now been with the company just over 7 months. Within this short time, I have been fortunate to have flown to over 30 destinations, including mid-haul routes such as Cape Verde. I have been involved in working alongside our German colleagues to support their operation, demonstrating the flexibility and unique day-to-day role of a TUI Pilot.<\/mark><\/undefined><\/undefined>The friendliness and approachable nature of my colleagues has really helped develop key skills in my role. Combine this with the varied flying routes across Europe and the continued drive to provide a safe, efficient in-flight experience is why I love being a TUI Pilot. The sense of achievement I get from taking our customers on their well-deserved holidays is why I have to remind myself that I get the opportunity to deliver these unbelievable, amazing moments every day.<\/mark>“<\/undefined><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Darcy Egginton | B737 Second Officer<\/mark><\/h2>

“On my 16th birthday I was gifted a trial flight in a light aircraft, and from then I instantly knew this was something I wanted to do for my career. After Sixth Form I attended Flight School and completed an Integrated ATPL course. In July 2023, I was incredibly lucky to be offered an opportunity at TUI shortly after completing training.<\/mark><\/undefined><\/undefined>My experience with TUI has been incredible. I was lucky enough to complete my base training in Rimini, Italy, as well as fly to a wide variety of destinations across Europe and Africa during line training. Post-training, I now have the opportunity to visit amazing places like Boa Vista and Sal in Cape Verde.<\/mark><\/undefined><\/undefined>The company makes you feel valued, and there is an immense amount of support from every member of the TUI family. From the Flight Deck, Cabin Crew to Ground Staff, everyone is extremely friendly which makes the day even better.<\/mark>“<\/undefined><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
